Dance Team

The Lightning Dance Team proudly supplied by Just For Fun the Dance Company.

Each season an audition process is held to select a new team of dancers. The selected team members then commit to many hours of training to prepare a series of routines which they perform at all Lightning home matches for the Women's National Basketball League season.

In season 2007-08, there are 12 Lightning cheerleaders so you will see some familiar faces along with several new ones. All of the girls have previous dance experience and are enjoying the current season. The team can be seen at every Lightning home game, as well as making several public appearances for promotional events and product launches.

Just For Fun the Dance Company was founded in February 1994. It was designed to meet the growing demand within the entertainment industry to provide trained performers/dancers and cheerleaders for sporting events and various functions.

Just For Fun currently provides cheerleaders for several Adelaide sporting teams in the fields of Australian Rules Football and Basketball.

Directed by Sue Nairn, a professional dancer and qualified dance teacher classes are available for all ages and experience. With studios situated at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Brighton & Payneham it really is a great way to have fun and keep fit.
