Francis was named the Betty Watson Rookie of the Year in 2006/07 after amassing 153 points, 136 rebounds, 43 assists and 33 blocked shots for averages of 13.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.6 blocks per game in 21 games. Her 8.4 rebounds per game was also the third best in the league. In 2005/06, she averaged 8.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 11 games. Francis was a key member in the Australian U21 (Sapphires) and U19 (Gems) World Championship campaigns in 2007. A Silver medalist with the Sapphires in July, Francis scored 69 points (8.6ppg) to go with 61 rebounds (7.6rpg) in 20.9 minutes per game, including three double-doubles, in eight games.
